What do guest reviews say about Statham Lodge Hotel?
Overall rating and guest feedback
Ratings across platforms are consistently positive. One review site records a 4.3 out of 5 from 743 reviews, ranking it #1 of 2 hotels in Lymm. Common praise and complaints
The review summary from one platform states the hotel “is often praised by guests for its clean, spacious, and comfortable rooms” and “the service is frequently highlighted as welcoming and attentive.” Another platform’s summaries similarly praise clean rooms, friendly staff, and a quiet or scenic location.
Some guests mention minor housekeeping lapses, event noise during weddings, and concerns about bar prices according to the same review summary. These appear across multiple reviews but are not the dominant sentiment.
“Beautiful property, nice tucked away location between Liverpool and Manchester. Almost by the motorway, while still feeling like the countryside.”
— Verified guest review on Booking.com (Booking.com)
Why this matters: The hotel’s 4.3 average on the first platform with 743 reviews provides a reliable baseline, but the higher 9.0/10 on another platform suggests the property may perform particularly well with business travellers and couples who book through that channel.
What types of rooms does Statham Lodge Hotel offer?
Room categories and features
The official website confirms 37 individually designed bedrooms. Categories include deluxe single rooms, standard double and twin rooms, and suites. Each room is individually designed, meaning no two are exactly alike — a feature the hotel markets as part of its country house character.
Deluxe single, double, twin, and suites
The room mix caters to solo business travellers (deluxe single), couples (double and suites), and groups or families (twin rooms). Trip.com also lists 37 rooms at the address Warrington Rd, Lymm, WA13 9BP. Note that HotelAndPlace reports 36 rooms, but this appears to be a data discrepancy likely caused by stale aggregation, as the official site and most booking platforms all agree on 37.
The bottom line: With 37 rooms across four categories, the hotel offers enough variety for weekend couples and corporate guests alike, though the individual design means specific room features may vary.
